Careers - Retail Software Specialist

Primary Responsibilities

  • Configure hardware and software for each POS system purchased.
    Assist retailer with initial hardware and software set up
  • Maintain accurate support logs of hours worked on machine set up and fielding questions for accurate billing
  • Problem solving with customers concerning POS and add-ins
  • Assist with internal and external technical issues
  • Field questions about services provided. On call availability may be required in the future
  • Provide assistance to Management with questions on POS, service contracts or hardware
  • Provide assistance to customer service with questions
  • Contact customers regarding orders placed through RMS
  • Help coordinate beta testing of new services and collect and forward feedback

Experience

This position requires a well-organized and self-starting individual having a minimum of two years experience in:

  • Database experience is a must - databases used by RMS are: SQL Server 2000, Access 97
  • Complex SQL querying is a must
  • Working knowledge of Visual Basic and ASP
  • Windows 2000, XP, Windows Server 2000 and 2003
  • Remote Desktop, PCAnywhere and VPN
  • Network experience is a plus
  • Previous support position is a plus
  • Previous training experience is a plus
